There are lots of things that can be done in Dublin, not only signing up the day tours, you can also explore the entertainment side of the city: Music Concert. One of the theater that I am introducing is the Olympia Theater.

It is located at Dame Street -Dublin 2. This theater has capacity up to 1,300 seats! Many popular artists had ever performed here: Kelly Clarkson, The Corrs, Snow Patrol, Bruno Mars, etc. It was opened in 1879: happy 132's birthday this year!

So what happened is... I ATTENDED THE BOYCE AVENUE CONCERT!

I like this band (relatively new band sensation in YouTube). They do a lot of covers of popular songs and they have their own songs as well. The concert started around 8pm (seating from 7.30pm) and it ended around 11pm. The ticket was quite reasonable: 28 Euro including admin fee.

I was with some UCD friends and were having dinner at Gourmet Burger Kitchen (check out their 2-for-1 promotion at mylunch.ie). GBK offers excellent burgers with delicious side dishes and fantastic milkshake. We were done eating around 7pm and it needs around 15 minutes walking time from Grafton Street to Dame Street.

Remember to print your online ticket and show to the bouncer at the theater. Some of my friends booked the Upper Circle seats so it is not reserved (first come first served basis), please go early! While I booked the middle seats with reservation. Tips for me: Book your ticket early so you can get front seats!

Inside the theater, you will find a cosy bar selling drinks and popcorns (like a movie theater). The price is reasonable. One thing is that the seat in this theater is kinda small and cramp. And if someone in front of you just get so high and stand up during concert, you won't get to see anything.

The guest performer was Tyler Ward (another YouTube sensation). He performed around 30 minutes before Boyce Avenue came in! The crowd was shouting like hell when they first came out. This shows how friendly Dubliners are and how popular BA is! They cover some songs like Fast Car, Just The Way You Are, Rolling In The Deep, etc. They did sing their original songs as well that night.

Overall experience was fine. The Boyce Avenue was still awesome! Remember to catch your last bus to UCD around 11.20pm (Bus 46a or 145). Bus 39a usually ends around 11pm!
